Course Content How to contribute to a positive and safe working environment: This unit aims to provide you with an understanding of how organisational policies and procedures can contribute to creating a positive and safe working environment, in addition to understanding their own responsibilities and limitations. You will also have an understanding of risk assessment and how to promote a positive and supportive workplace culture.  How to reduce and effectively deal with violence in the workplace: The aim of this unit is to provide you with an understanding of workplace violence. You will understand the possible causes of violence in the workplace, how to reduce the risk of workplace violence and reporting procedures to follow when workplace violence occurs. Understanding aggression, bullying and harassment in the workplace and how it can be prevented: The aim of this unit is to provide you with an understanding of aggressive behaviour, bullying and harassment in the workplace. The aims of this unit are to provide you with an understanding of aggressive behaviour, techniques to de-escalate such behaviour and to outline the impact that aggressive communications can have on the workplace. Understanding equality, diversity and inclusion in the workplace and the benefits to individuals and organisations: The aim of this unit is for the learner to develop an understanding of equality, diversity and inclusion in the workplace. This will include current workplace legislation and how individual rights are protected. Career Progression This Level 2 Course in Understanding Workplace Violence and Harassment would be beneficial to you in developing an understanding of how to create a safer work environment for others, and how to notice when the work environment that you’re in right now, isn’t.
