Who is the course aimed at?

This course is suitable for anyone who is interested in developing their knowledge and understanding of health and safety. There are no specific entry requirements for this course. Basic understanding of English language, literacy, numeracy and ICT are required to complete this course.

You will learn about empathy in health and social care and its importance. You will explore how to deliver difficult news, the type of news you might need to deliver, who you might deliver it to and how to do this effectively. You will also learn about the different reactions you may get when delivering difficult news.

You will cover communication and how to interact with patients, families and others. You will also gain an understanding of conflict resolution. Finally, you will think about the different situations in which you might experience conflict and the techniques for conflict resolution.

You will have 12 months of access to your online study platform from the date you purchased the course. You can complete the course in stages, revisiting the training at any time. It is self-paced so you can decide how quickly to progress through it.

Method of Assessment

At the end of the course, learners will take an online multiple-choice question assessment test. This online multiple choice question test is marked automatically so you will receive an instant grade and know whether you have passed the course. The pass mark is 70%. 

Certification

Successful candidates will be awarded a digital PDF certificate of completion.
