The standard is regulatory for all registered providers. All management staff within social housing must obtain a relevant qualification. The government defined registered providers as all those which are private, including housing associations, alongside local authority registered providers.  The government have set out specific requirements regarding the qualification type, level and course content that must be covered.  For Senior Housing Managers, a Level 4 qualification is required, while for Senior Housing Executives, a foundation degree or Level 5 qualification is necessary.
