You will also understand transitional care from treatment to recovery. Course Content This course has four units:Understanding addiction:In this unit you will understand the term ‘addiction’ and will know the types, signs and indicators of addiction. You will know the risk factors which may contribute to developing an addiction and actions that can be taken in response to concerns about addiction within the boundaries of confidentiality. . Understanding the treatment and transitional care for addiction:You will understand the treatments available for different types of addiction and barriers that may prevent individuals from seeking treatment. You will also understand transitional care from treatment to recovery.Understanding support available for recovery and rehabilitation:In this unit, you will understand recovery and to know what support is available to individuals in recovery from addiction and in rehabilitation. You will also understand how supporting others can impact their own wellbeing and what coping strategies can help to support their own wellbeing. Understanding post-addiction recovery and relapse prevention:This unit aims to provide you with the understanding of a person-centred approach to supporting individuals in post-addiction recovery, principles of self-management and relapse prevention. How you will be assessed There are no exams, all courses require you to complete assessment questions based on the knowledge you have gained from the units, at your own pace. What is NCFE?
